Caring comes in many shapes and forms whether that is looking after a child or young person with a disability, an adult with a physical, sensory or learning disability, someone with mental health difficulties or an older person with multiple problems in any of these areas. Many of our members are carers even though they may not even recognise themselves as such.
It can be a very challenging, lonely, stressful and isolating experience but you should be aware that there are significant support services out there to help you and your loved ones. South Eastern Trust maintains a Carers Register and offers support and information to those who contact it.
